World Congress on Thyroid Cancer 2025 Endocrine-Related Cancer Special Collection

 

Endocrine-Related Cancer is excited to announce its new special collection in collaboration with the World Congress on Thyroid Cancer 2025. The Collection Editors invite submissions of original research, mini review and review articles from speakers and delegates attending the congress, to showcase the top articles on thyroid cancer.


The World Congress on Thyroid Cancer will hold its 8th session in Boston, MA, USA on 9-12 July 2025. World leaders on thyroid cancer and thyroid nodules will discuss topics from basic science through clinical management, including cutting edge advances in surgical and oncologic therapies. Nearly 300 abstracts will be presented at the Congress.

Lindsay Bischoff

 

Dr Lindsay Bischoff

Dr. Bischoff is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she is the Co-Interim Division Director for Education and Faculty Affairs, Medical Director of the Vanderbilt Thyroid and Adrenal Center, and the Program Director for the Endocrine Fellowship. Her clinical practice focuses on diagnosis and treatment of thyroid cancer. She is an active member of the American Thyroid Association (ATA) and International Thyroid Oncology Group (ITOG), having chaired committees for both and is on the Board of Directors for ITOG. She is currently on the ATA’s Differentiated Thyroid Carcinoma Guidelines committee and is Vice-Chair for the Guidelines on Thyroid Carcinoma of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. She has served on the editorial boards of Clinical Thyroidology and JCEM Case Reports. She is actively involved with the World Congress on Thyroid Cancer and serves as an Associate Board member.

Dr Richard J Wong

Dr Richard J. Wong
Dr. Wong earned a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in History at Stanford University in 1990. He attended Harvard Medical School where he earned his M.D in 1994. He trained in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the Harvard Program in Otolaryngology from 1995-1999. He completed a combined clinical and T32 research fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from 1999-2001 before joining the full-time faculty in the Department of Surgery.
In 2015 Dr. Wong was appointed Chief of the Head and Neck Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He is co-leader of the Head and Neck Disease Management Team and holds the Jatin P. Shah Chair in Head and Neck Surgery and Oncology. He is co-director of the Center for HPV Related Malignancies. He cares for patients with all types of head and neck malignancies with a focus on patients with aggressive or recurrent thyroid cancer.
 
Dr. Wong directs a laboratory that studies relationships between nerves and cancers. His work has been funded by grants from the NCI, NIDCR, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American College of Surgeons, and American Head and Neck Society. He served on the Tumor, Evolution, Heterogeneity and Metastasis NIH Study Section. He is a Past President of the New York Head and Neck Society, and an Associate Board Member of the World Congress on Thyroid Cancer.
